Partnering for Success: Debar teams up with Epsilon to Expand into the Middle East

In 2024, Debar and Epsilon started a partnership to bring Debar’s quality bi-fold solutions to the growing Middle Eastern market. Distributing the DeWall system throughout the region, Epsilon’s technical expertise and connections have helped Debar to maintain a growing foothold in the market.

Epsilon were founded in 2023, but their connections with Debar go deeper. Founder Elyas Alhayki’s background in systems houses meant Epsilon were already aware of Debar as a provider of bi-fold hardware and solutions.

Through collaboration and technical discussions, a new partnership was born, with Debar supplying quality products to Epsilon, to form part of their suite of façade hardware offerings

Epsilon was first drawn to Debar’s ability to engineer custom bi-fold door solutions for the Dubai market and soon recognised the advantages of collaborating with a trusted UK-based systems partner committed to Middle Eastern fabrication projects.

Following an extensive period of development, testing, and training, we worked with PRL to successfully introduce a bottom-rolling bi-fold door system – designed by Debar and fabricated by PRL for the US market.  

Bottom-rolling systems shift the weight of the door from the top to the bottom, offering significant structural and operational advantages: 

• No need for overhead structural reinforcement 

• Easier installation and adjustment 

• Slimmer profiles for enhanced aesthetics 

• Ability to carry larger, heavier glass panels

We rigorously tested the system to ensure full compliance with US performance standards for air, water, and structural integrity which gives PRL the confidence to take a bold new product to market. This is especially important as PRL need to consider various climates across the US.

Debar’s bottom-rolling bi-fold system also supports improved thermal efficiency, helping PRL lower the U-value of their doors from 0.34 to 0.31, a significant gain in a market where sustainability is quickly becoming a purchasing priority.

Since working together, Epsilon have introduced Debar’s products to several businesses in the region, such as leading systems house, Al Falah, with more in the pipeline. (Tim can we explicitly mention the partnership?)

With plans to include Debar products on several large construction projects in Dubai, there is also a focus on introducing Debar’s bi-fold systems to a number of luxury construction projects across the gulf.
