What We Do

Debar is a British specialist in the design, development, and manufacture of custom and off-the-shelf bi-fold door systems. Founded in 2008 by Graham Fawthrop, who offered 25 years of bi-fold door expertise, Debar has become a trusted partner for fabricators, system houses and extruders seeking tailored bi-fold door hardware and complete system solutions.

Operating from a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Bradford, England, we work collaboratively with clients to engineer, prototype, and produce high-performance bi-fold door systems that meet exact specifications and international standards.

Custom design

Debar offers bespoke bi-fold door system design by combining expert in-house engineering with advanced CAD, simulation, and rapid prototyping tools including 3D printing. Our team works closely with clients to understand your design requirements to create tailored solutions that meet specific performance, aesthetic, and regulatory requirements, avoiding industry-common bi-fold issues.

With in-house testing, and the ability to adapt systems for global markets, we can deliver fully customised door systems and hardware that are both high-performance and market ready.


Off the shelf

Debar also offers complete off the shelf bi-fold door systems through our fully developed and ready-to-install DeWall aluminium system. Our system has delivered complete, high-quality bi-fold solutions to clients worldwide—successfully and without the need for custom design—for over twelve years.

DeWall is a pre-engineered, above-ground bottom-running system featuring slim sightlines, thermal efficiency and is certified to key standards like such as PAS 24 and BS6375. It includes our full range of hardware designed for seamless integration.

Taking the system under licence allows you to cut dies and extrude the system yourself. If you want to change the aesthetics our design team can make changes to enable you to have a unique system for your business and market. Clients can order the full system whilst also benefitting from Debar’s technical support and training. Debar provides comprehensive support when handling the new system, with full technical and end-user operating instruction manuals available.

Taking this option enables you to have your own bi-fold system whilst avoiding lengthy design, R&D and testing times and mitigates substantial costs. You can even white label it to brand it according to your existing range.
