How Debar’s DeWall A1 system is redefining custom bi-fold door fabrication

The system offers multiple sightline options including 100mm, 120mm and 133mm profiles, allowing fabricators to balance modern aesthetics with the structural demands of larger door sets. The square sash design also supports impressive panel heights while maintaining highly demanded, clean, contemporary lines.

Built for larger openings, the system can accommodate panel weights of up to 120kg, door heights up to 3 metres, and sash widths up to 1200mm. This allows fabricators to confidently deliver expansive bi-doors without compromising stability or operation.

Every element has been engineered to work together for smoother fabrication, faster installation and better long-term reliability.

The system is available in both thermally broken and non-thermally broken configurations, making it suitable for a broad range of global markets and project specifications. It also supports glazing options from 6mm through to 44mm, including single, double and triple glazing.

The adjustable jamb system allows for simple on-site adjustment from minus 4mm to plus 4mm, helping installers achieve a precise fit. This also reduces the time spent making corrections during installation.

We have also engineered a high-quality cleat system featuring a robust 45-degree cut design, integrated screw port and crimped locking system. This combination improves load transfer and holding strength while creating a secure and vibration-resistant system.

Our team also carefully considered threshold options during the design process. The system offers multiple thresholds including flush and integrated cell options, supporting faster installation while meeting accessibility requirements.

The pre-gasketed clip-in bead option further speeds up fabrication and installation. By integrating the gasket directly into the bead design, fabricators benefit from a cleaner finish, reliable weather sealing and improved consistency during assembly.

The DeWall A1 system has been developed to deliver reliable performance over years of daily use. At the core of the system is an above-ground bottom-rolling two-wheel carriage designed to provide smooth operation and excellent load transfer.

The stainless-steel track is resistant to rust, helping ensure long-term durability while eliminating the need for additional beam reinforcement.

Also, the fully integrated hinges sit neatly in line with the gasket profile to preserve clean sightlines while enhancing weather sealing performance. Each hinge also incorporates a self-lubricating bush for quieter operation and reduced maintenance over time.

The system’s engineered guides and chamfered cones are fully threaded to the top for additional security and precise panel alignment every time the doors close.

To maintain the highest level of security, we integrated a 5-point multi-locking system combined with a premium range of handles. This provides both the fabricator and the end-user with complete peace of mind, regardless of where you are in the world.
